Immigration Adviser, Certification Program

Brief Summary : This online program is directed to national and international students who are looking for a career that will enable them to work independently within or outside Canada as well as for those who want to represent any immigration law firm or immigration consultancy firm within or outside Canada/United States of America.  In addition this Immigration Adviser Certification Program allows students to develop the necessary skills and knowledge regarding current Canadian immigration laws and all other matters related to the Canadian immigration legislations.

This certification program was designed by the Canadian Immigration Counseling Center in partnership with the law faculty of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and is accredited since 2011 by the Ministry of Education of the province of Quebec.

The curriculum of this program is concentrated in part in the areas of ethics, theories of the migration proceedings, managing immigration categories, legal procedures for refugee claimants, etc.

General Objective : Those who will take part in the Immigration Adviser program will acquire the necessary skills to inform, advise and assist in a wide variety of legal matters those who wish to immigrate to Canada under any immigration category.

General Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Having completed at least Secondary school education.
  • No prior criminal records.
  • Minimum Intermediate level of English reading comprehension.

 

Required documentation in order to apply for this program:

  • Copy of your resume updated.
  • Copy of a photo ID card.
  • Secondary Education diploma or the equivalent or any other higher level of education.
  • Brief explanation on why you wish to be part in this program. Minimum 100 words.

Academic Accreditation & Trial License:

Upon completion of the Immigration Adviser Certification Program graduates will receive a certificate which will include the logo of the Ministry of Education of Quebec.

After completing the course, students who performed well in the final exam may qualify to receive a one-year “trial license” from our notary that will allow them to represent the Canadian Immigration Counseling Center in their own country.  The “trial license” will enable students to promote our services legally to potential clients.

Admission fees:

$435.00 USD (includes provincial and federal taxes).

Terms of admission :

Those interested in enrolling in this program must send the documents mentioned above scanned by email to courses@cicc-ccic.ca . Even though this program is online, by law, the Canadian Immigration Counseling Center is only allowed to issue a limited amount of certificates annually. For this reason only those who meet the above requirements may qualify to take part in the program. In addition please note that only those who have been chosen to take part in the program will receive an answer.  If so, selected candidates will hear from us in not more than 5 business days from the day that we have received their correspondence.
